In order to really succeed with Skoach 2.0, there are three things you’ll need to know about: Weekly Template, Task Entry, and Commitment Bar.
- Weekly Template. This is the starting point for any new Skoach user. You can create your template by dividing your week into time-blocks like study, chores, exercise, leisure, etc….
-
Task Entry. In Skoach, every task is created inside category and range tabs. For example, I might enter “clean oven” under Chores for Next Week. The range is a rough time-frame during which I’d like to do the task; it is not the actual duration. The range is visually displayed in the Gantt Chart, to the right of the task-list. Note- you can always use the Range Selector (left) to choose a custom range.

To schedule a task, you can drag an existing task onto the calendar. Notice that the appropriate time-block is clearly outlined in red.

You may also click anywhere on the calendar to create a new appointment. Adjust the duration by stretching the “boxed” appointment.
- Commitment Bar. This handy gauge visually displays your task workload and available time. For example, if you’ve blocked off 7 hours for study on your Weekly Template, and have entered study-tasks totaling 4 hours in duration, then the bar will show three hours remaining. Avoid over-commitment and last-minute “crunch” by referring to the commitment bar and pacing yourself accordingly.

Those categories which normally contain multiple tasks will also appear as tabs on your home page, where you can add tasks.
